Notice of Adoption of Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan
Notice is hereby given that Council, at its meeting held on 29 June 2017 adopted its new Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes 10+ Year Strategic Community Plan 2017. At the same meeting Council also adopted its new Corporate Business Plan 2017-2021. Copies of both documents can be inspected in the Shire Library and can also be viewed on the Shire website at http://www.bridgetown.wa.gov.au/your-shire/publications TIM CLYNCH CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER ADVERTISEMENT VACANCY PART TIME - BUILDING SERVICES ADMINISTRATION OFFICER A vacancy exists for a part-time Building Services Administration Officer with the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.
The position is for 20 hours per week, (ideally 9am – 2pm Monday to Thursday but can be negotiated). The role is required to provide timely and efficient administrative support for the Principle Building Surveyor and Maintenance Officer as well as accurate and timely information and advice to customers and stakeholders relating to building control, operations and maintenance. The position requires strong time management skills, initiative and work ethic, alongside attention to detail, well-developed communication skills (written and verbal) and intermediate to advanced IT skills. Salary will be Level 2.1 of the Adult Local Government Officers (WA) Award 2011 and Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes Enterprise Agreement. TIM CLYNCH CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER PROPOSED ROAD NAME RATIONALISATION WALTER STREET, BRIDGETOWN SECTION 26A – LAND ADMINISTRATION ACT 1997 The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is proposing to un-name the central unconstructed portion of Walter Street, Bridgetown and rename the most eastern portion of Walter Street as Possum Place. The name ‘Firetail Place’ is proposed as an alternative option should the primary option of ‘Possum Place’ not be supported by Landgate.
A plan and background of the proposed renaming can be inspected at the Shire Office, 1 Steere Street, Bridgetown or available on the Shire’s website at www.bridgetown.wa.gov.au. provide strategic direction to assist with Council’s decision making in relation to service delivery for young people in the community. Council seeks community feedback on the draft Local Trails Plan 2017 – 2022 prior to considering its formal adoption.
